As a professional and experienced EPK director & BTS videographer – a major part of the job is capturing the fun, excitement and hard work that goes into a production – all the energy that goes on behind the camera. A good BTS videographer knows when to be invisible and when to take the lead and direct. This is not just simply backstage shaky phone footage. This is strategic, cinema-grade behind the scenes film production content.
I’ve shot it all – BTS on big Hollywood cameras, small DSLRs, GoPro action cameras, on 8mm film, VHS camcorders, iPhones & mobile phones and even a Ring doorbell.

BTS is not just about documenting what is going on – it’s far more nuanced. My approach consists of three main elements; show the audience who you are, where you are and what you’re doing. I like to work closely with the brand and agency to deliver a BTS film that works across many different platforms to deliver a clear concise message that aligns with the campaign and project.
It’s not just about documenting the Director and cast interaction, the DOP and focus puller doing their thing or the cast working through the script – it’s about capturing the hard work, the pay off of all the planning and most importantly the in between the take moments of joy and chaos.
